Interactive 3d Project
For quite a while, I’ve wanted to experiment with TIME MODULATION as an input to control an interactive piece.
For this new project, I created an audio player in @touchdesigner that allows me to slow down, speed up, move forward, and rewind a musical piece.
Both the timeline position and playback speed are sent as data to Unreal Engine via OSC messages.
Inside Unreal, a character performs a choreography controlled by these parameters. Camera timing can be adjusted using the number keys.
The entire 3D scene, including a real-time fluid simulation, is rendered in real time within the game engine.
Rami > @yoyogurr is the creator of this musical piece, which I ended up breaking and distorting—huge thanks… and sorry! :)
The animation was sourced from Mocap.Market.
I hope to collaborate with artists and choreographers soon to record custom motion capture.
